Dorsal Displacement Of The Soft Palate In 55 Day Old Colt

I can't remember if anyone here has had this problem or not. A friend has the above colt. He makes noise when he breathes and has been on antibiotics since he was born. Vets at Pilchuk recommended she put him down. Has anyone dealt with this in one so young?? Different if they are grown, I would suppose.
