ring worm are a fungi similar to Jock Itch or athletics foot that can be spread from animal to human and are easily treated with across-the-counter anti fungal sprays

It's a fungus, it's contagious, and it's pretty easy to treat for all that.

Bleach all your brushes and curry combs, don't use them on two animals in succession without dipping them in bleach first, and wash your hands after dealing with an infected animal because it can spread to you, too. Wash blankets, saddle cloths, fly masks, and fly sheets in the hottest water you can. If you can use bleach on them, do so.

Other than that, get the biggest bottle of Selsun Blue you can find, and go to town. Leave it on the horse to sit for 5-10 minutes if you can.

Get Tinactin foot powder if the area is large. Sprinkle it on the area after you have scrubbed the crusts off. Use the cream if there are just spots here and there. Wash blankets and dust the powder all over the underside that touches the horse. This works for ringworm and rain rot.
