Pedigree Query

Anyone have any experience with a broodmare that has a large cyst in her ovary. I've seen some talk about giving hormones rather than surgery? Also, if surgery is required, does anyone know of any clinics that will do a lower cost for a rescued mare or a clinical trial of a new treatment. Thank you.

They can be treated with Regumate and that will sometimes resolve them. I would try that first and then US so see if it worked. It did work with a mare that I know personally
and she was said to have a fairly large one found on palpation.
