Pedigree Query

The recent EHV-1 outbreak and quarantine of a racetrack has me wondering if it would be a bad idea to claim a mare for breeding purposes from an affected facility. If a mare gets infected does that affect her future breeding career? Temporarily or permanently?

Forget trying to claim during an outbreak, it is in how they handle it in terms of legallly but usually if the facility
is in quarantine, you aren't getting a horse out of there anyway.
