hampster syndrome!

Postby clafairy » Thu Oct 06, 2005 5:58 am

My horse has something I like to call 'hampster syndrome' She had it the first time and it looked as though her glands were swollen between her poll and her cheek bone - I called the vet and he said its probably an allergic reaction, leave it and see if it goes down over night. Well, it did go down overnight but she keeps getting it. Mainly only when she goes out in a specific paddock so I wondered if its something out there but its only half of the field we used to have as one whole paddock? The other night I got her in and her cheeks were swollen too! and they felt kinda fluidy??
Im gonna have the vet check her teeth, but does anyone have any ideas what this could be about?
Thanks!

Storing up Haycorns for the winter?

Sorry, don't mean to make light of your conumdrum. Hope you figure out what's wrong soon! Just had to be silly.
Some people are like slinkies. Not really good for anything, but they bring a smile to your face when pushed down the stairs.
