Halo's Star the dam of both isn't badly bred. Northern Dancer and Halo is a proven cross, another cross of Natalma for Ice Star might be a good injection.
Perhaps a son of Machaivellan. Give that Mr P zing.
I'm a massive fan of Damascus so Brunswick Star is my preferred mare, a nice outcross to so much Northern Dancer blood in the world. There is already a cross of Hail to Reason in the pedigree so maybe another hit through Roberto wouldn't hurt.
Maybe Arch would be a good mate. A less turf oriented type Roberto (though he has gotten Les Arcs in the UK) and from a real blue blood family
She's the kind of mare that would suit over here in Aus with all the Danehill and Star Kingdom in the gene pool. The only Damascus influences in Aus have been Salieri (by Accipter) and Gilded Time. They were both successful. Red Ransom (from a Damascus mare) has also been a hit.
Anyway good luck
