I am looking to sell my stallion and am more of a QH and APHA person. I am looking for info on his pedigree, what he is bred for ie: turf, distance,etc.. what the achievements were of his pedigree. and possibly sale ideas?? Basically an overall analysis of his pedigree. Thank You

Hi Taisjia,
I think you started on the wrong foot.
This would normally be a charged service for many.
1998 Magical Mon,Ch,c,Maria's Mon 2 9 1 0 0 8,374 ( 80) 0.33
North America 2 YO Record 1 0 0 0 205 ( 56)
North America Turf Record 2 0 0 0 384 ( 80)
North America Dirt Sprints 3 0 0 0 1,030 ( 65)
North America Dirt Routes 4 1 0 0 6,960 ( 79)
DP = 4-10-12-3-1 DI = 2.00 CD = 0.43 AWD = 8.32
Sold at Hip # Sales Price Sire Avg Rank Stud Fee
KEENOV 1998 3043 $42,000 $35,583 wlg (5/18 ) $7,500
KEESEP 1999 2268 $27,000 $55,301 ylg (35/52) $7,500
This is Magical Mon's race and sales record. His sire is doing well commercially but he's not a strong stallion prospect for racing thoroughbreds. He was a modest sales individual and showed little talent on the racetrack. His pedigree is weak for the last 2 generations and unsoundness runs in his family although he has a 1/2 brother who ran 76 times and earned $200k. Secretariat as the sire of his dam is interesting but it won't give him value as a stallion.
Next time, please explain yourself and understand that you're asking someone to take the time to assist you.
Regards,
Pete

I apologise for not wording it properly. I thank You for your time and the info you found about my stallion. I must say you are the first person that has told me my stallion is crap. I guess he is only worth anything to people who don't race. Again I thank You for your time.
I do believe this board is not for me. I have found that people here are not terribly friendly and tend to be quite sharp tongued. Good Luck all.

Taisjia,
I never said that he was crap, you did. I said that he was unsuitable as a racehorse stallion and anyone who told you differently is wrong either through indifference or ineptitude. I don't have any expertise in non-racing stallions and thus offered no advice in that regards.
This is a very friendly board but you posted here with disdain, as if we were obliged to answer.

There was absolutely no disdain. it was pure curiousity as to whether anyone knew of his pedigree and was willing to help. I am used to the other boards I frequent where everyone is extrtemely willing to offer help and are extremely friendly. I suppose it may just be the difference between TB racing people versus saddle horse people.
[quote]Anybody???[quote]
that was simply because I had seen several others asking for the same info as I was with lots of replies. I was simply asking if anyone was willing to help me.
again I thank you for taking the time post.

Hi Tammy,
Sorry about the double post seems to be something that my PC ate.
All we have for exression on a forum are words and when they're not clear in meaning then it's a matter of interpretation.
Good luck with the stallion.
Regards,
Pete

Mare power is the bottom line for stallion prospects. Thoroughbred racing is fiercely competitive sport. When breeding in this game do not look through rose colored glasses and most definitely learn from others mistakes. If this stallion is an incredible looking individual and you beleive in your heart that he can produce runners go for it, but as a breeder of 100's of racing babies, breed only the best to the best and hope for the best.
