This article was very interesting. We have a Siphon mare that we raced and are now considering breeding. Like most Siphon mares she is abit of an Amazon , lots of stamina and is retiring sound. The theory of outcrossing suggests that we should now breed back into her bottom line (Pleasant Colony and Deputy Minister). I had also considered Slew City Slew. His broodmare sireline traces back to Prince John and Siphon is a descendant of the Prince Rose sire line. Alan Porters article has given me more options to consider. Thanks for posting the link.
