Farms used to cull those foals back in the day. They should still be culled lest they make it in the gene pool.
If foals are fixed, then it should be noted to everyone so breeders can make the choice themselves..

There are too many crooked tbs being retired with only a few starts. Those tbs are just as bad as those bench warmers, who are being patched up.

So, the question now is, what to do about it ? I guess its really up to the individual breeder...sigh.

Wondering if anyone has created a list of bloodlines that create crooked legs,etc. so breeders would know to avoid them.

I've seen lots of crooked Arabian horses, Paint horses and AQHA horses, but I only recall ever seeing 1 crooked legged thoroughbred, and he's a graded stakes winner of over $460,000 with 27 starts.

Don't think we'll be breeding graded stakes winners out of the gene pool any time soon.
