Mirror Image 18

Now in my last post title Mirror Image 17 besides making a few mistakes which I shall cover later I wrote that I had hoped to sell advice to people, so what sort of advice would I hope to deliver, well I wrote to imagine that I had known well before 2006 that Northern Dancer was the thoroughbred similar evolutionary equivalent of the greyhound Hi There that Mr Prospector was the thoroughbred similar evolutionary equivalent of the greyhound Champion Prince and that Galileo was the thoroughbred similar evolutionary equivalent of the greyhound Monalee Champion.
I also wrote to imagine that I had also known that several parental sire line descendants of Turn-To were going to be the thoroughbred similar evolutionary equivalents of the greyhound Mad Tanist and his two influential sons The Grand Champion and Sandown Champion.
First of all I would have advised people to use Northern Dancer as much as possible and on looking at the pedigrees of Crazy Parachute and Prairie Flash I would have had to advise people to put greater emphasis on breeding Northern Dancer to mares that were parental sire line descendants of Turn-To.
Similarly I would have advised people to use Mr Prospector as much as possible and on looking at the pedigrees of Pigalle Wonder, The Grand Prince and Solar Prince I would have had to advise people to put greater emphasis on breeding Mr Prospector also to mares that were parental sire line descendants of Turn-To.
A lot of sons of Northern Dancer and Mr Prospector out of mares that were parental sire line descendants of Turn-To retired to stud and really that is why it is the best policy to only use them when they have passed my Racing Post test first of all.
Actually in a sense I would have been shooting myself in the foot by delivering this advice because people would then realize to use sires by Northern Dancer or Mr Prospector out of mares that were parental sire line descendants of Turn-To that had retired to stud and who had also passed my Racing Post test as well.
Now they would have known nothing about the pedigrees of the mares that should be bred to those sires for best results and they would have had to purchase my advice the next year to find that out, well there were actually only two sons of Northern Dancer out of mares that were parental sire line descendants of Turn-To that retired to stud who had also passed my Racing Post test and they were the brothers Sadlers Wells and Fairy King, I assumed there would have been more and there was no thoroughbred version of the very influential son of Hi There called Prairie Flash.
Similarly there were only two sons of Mr Prospector out of mares that were parental sire line descendants of Turn-To that retired to stud who had also passed my Racing Post test and they were Machiavellian and Smart Strike, I considered Machiavellian to be the thoroughbred evolutionary equivalent of Pigalle Wonder and The Grand Prince and Smart Strike to be the thoroughbred evolutionary equivalent of Solar Prince.
Also to people that sell their produce I would advise them to retain the female produce from Sadlers Wells, Fairy King, Mr Prospector and Smart Strike if possible, so obviously I would have first of all advise people to use Sadlers Well, Fairy King, Mr Prospector and Smart Strike as much as possible and on looking at the pedigrees of Monalee Champion http://www.greyhound-data.com/d?i=154442 and Spectre http://www.greyhound-data.com/d?i=218720 I would have then advised people to place greater emphasis on breeding to mares that were parental sire line granddaughters of Mr Prospector particularly daughters of his two sons Machiavellian and Smart Strike and my advice on retaining the female produce by Machiavellian and Smart Strike would have looked good at that stage but things did not happen the way they should have.
As it turned out the only sire that possessed a pedigree along those lines that had also passed my Racing Post test on retiring to stud was Galileo and as he passed my Racing Post test in 2006 time was running out for there to be a son of Sadlers Wells who was a leading performer on the track out of a daughter of either Machiavellian or Smart Strike.
So as none came along Galileo had to be the thoroughbred version of Monalee Champion and as he was out of a daughter of Mr Prospector’s son Miswaki and as Miswaki dam Hopespringseternal was not a parental sire line descendant of Turn-To obviously things had happened differently in thoroughbred evolution.
Actually 13 racehorses by Sadlers Wells out of daughters of Machiavellian were recorded in the brilliant thoroughbredhorsepedigreequery website the best being the filly Flight of Fancy 2nd in the 2001 Epsom Oaks who was bred by The Queen and no produce out of a daughter of Smart Strike was even recorded.
Now all of that opened a new can of worms for me because that meant that I would have had to assume that Machiavellian would have to feature on the maternal sire lines in the pedigrees of sires that I would class as the real thoroughbred version of Monalee Champion.
I would have assumed the thoroughbred similar evolutionary equivalents of likes of The Grand Silver http://www.greyhound-data.com/d?z=VyxcM ... &x=31&y=12 Monalee Pride http://www.greyhound-data.com/d?z=VyxcM ... &x=29&y=14 and Kilbelin Style http://www.greyhound-data.com/d?z=VyxcM ... &x=24&y=12 would have come on the scene if there had of been a thoroughbred version of Prairie Flash.
As a matter of fact Sheila at Last the mother of Monalee Champion was bred to Prairie Flash three times producing above average performers on the track and at stud in each litter and I assumed something similar would be played out in thoroughbred evolution.
Now I was also looking for the thoroughbred version of a greyhound called Newdown Heather http://www.greyhound-data.com/d?z=VyxcM ... r&x=33&y=9 also this greyhound was a parental sire line grandson of Hi There whose mother Pardee was a daughter of The Grand Champion.
That meant that I was looking for a parental sire line grandson of Northern Dancer out of a mare who was a parental sire line descendant of Turn-To and as usual several thoroughbreds retired to stud with this pedigree.
For instance you had the likes of Green Desert, Azamour and Lyphard’s two sons Dancing Brrave and Alzao and all of these racehorses passed my Racing Post test on retiring to stud so I had to assume that one of those four sires was the thoroughbred evolutionary equivalent of Newdown Heather.
Now my advice would have been to breed any mares by Machiavellian and Smart Strike to Sadlers Wells advice which would have been wrong but what advice could I offer on the pedigrees of the mares that should be bred to Machiavellian and Smart Strike for best results.
Well on looking at the pedigree of Tivoli Dreamer http://www.greyhound-data.com/d?i=235391 I could see that he was by Champion Prince’s son Pigalle Wonder out of a bitch called Racing On a daughter of Man of Pleasure besides Tivoli Dreamer being on the parental sire line of most of the winners of feature events over a certain value run in the North and South of Ireland today and its 24th of January 2018 as I write this there were a couple of other things about his pedigree that caught my attention.
One was the fact that his sire Pigalle Wonder had a similar pedigree to The Grand Prince the sire of Monalee Champion’s mother Sheila at Last and also that Man of Pleasure was the sire of Sheila at Last’s mother a bitch called Last Landing.
Now the parental grandsire of Champion Prince was Castledown Lad and Man of Pleasure was a parental sire line descendant of Castledown Lad this to me was the same thing that took place with the greyhound Greentick http://www.greyhound-data.com/d?z=VyxcM ... &x=30&y=14 who was born on the 6th of March 1882.
So on looking at the pedigree of Greentick I could see that he is a parental grandson of Contango who is himself a parental grandson of a greyhound called Cardinal York and Heartburn the mother of Greentick is a parental sire line descendant of Cardinal York.
All of this subsequently told me that the 3rd cycle in racing greyhound evolution was a repetition of the 1st cycle in racing greyhound evolution so I was looking for the same turn of events in thoroughbred evolution and I found it but not in strictly in the same way.
Now I know that Machiavellian is the thoroughbred similar evolutionary equivalent of both Pigalle Wonder and The Grand Prince, so let’s have a look at the pedigree of Street Cry http://www.pedigreequery.com/street+cry .
I know for instance that Mr Prospector is the parental grandsire of Street Cry and I also know that Sickle can be thought of as the parental grandsire of Mr Prospector with Raise a Native, Native Dancer and Polynesian taken out of Mr Prospector’s pedigree.
So on looking at the pedigree of Street Cry you can see that his dam Helen Street is a parental sire line descendant of Fairway now both Sickle http://www.pedigreequery.com/sickle and Fairway http://www.pedigreequery.com/fairway have both the same pedigree cross.
There is no doubt in my mind that the same thing has happened here also and as Street Cry’s sister Helsinki is the mother of Shamardal and that makes Shamardal a possible candidate to be the thoroughbred version of Monalee Champion.
Remember if anybody is interested in what I have already given they can send me an email for instance I might subsequently have a website built were I shall give my Full Explanation which can be accessed by subscription or possibly subsequently a book or books or if anybody is interested in purchasing my advise which shall be very cheap initially provided enough people wish to invest, the same would go for any possible website or book, so feel free to email me [email protected] .
Now none of this will affect the status quo of either industry as a matter of fact I consider the greyhounds to be at the coal face of my studies remember 2015 in racing greyhound similar evolution is equivalent to the year 2097 in thoroughbred similar evolution and I must admit things have turned out very funny in racing greyhound evolution and I have no idea why this has happened.
So one day things will go back to the way they have always been pedigrees will return to being thought of as an inexact science.
