How to Read the Top of the Pedigree?

Postby Huntseat99 » Thu May 05, 2005 10:19 pm

Hi

I was looking up my deceased horses pedigree and surprisingly I finally found stuff on his dams side. However, up at the very top there were some weird things next to his name, sex, and year born, it says "DP=11-8-9-2-0(30) DI=3.62 CD=0.93"
I was told he had never raced, had he? his name is BEAUPANDATEM if my explanation doesn't make sense. Can anyone tell me what this stuff means?

Thank You!

hi huntseat and wellcome,

dp means dosage profile
the induvidual numers from left to right mean
a= brilliant
b=intermidiat
c= classical
s= solid or stout
p = professionel
b and i are considered to be speed of the horse, also can mean early maturing type,
c is classical it is considerd the the horse could possible reach 10 furlongs,
s and p are the stamina component which are to be considered to mean the horse is of stamina and can go far.
read dr. romans chef-de race website, info is good and well layed out.

good luck Siegy,

Dosage Profile has nothing to do with racing. Doage profile just indicates the stallions in his ancestry that have been classified as chefs-de-race by Steve Roman. More to the point, the American Produce Record shows your horse as unraced:
