I have back to the basics question.
When you get into pedigrees there is a lot of talk about sire lines and tail lines. What about all that stuff in the middle?
Do all the components of the pedigree carry equal weight or do some lines of the pedigree carry more weight? Does it vary by individual?
Some sires seem to do well with everthing and some mares seem to produce to many sire lines. Some that appear they should produce don't.
I am straying.......back to the original, do all lines of the pedigree carry equal weight mathmatically, in theory, in practice?
Thanks
