Easy Greasy 97

Three years ago I purchased Easy Greasy (http://www.pedigreequery.com/index.php? ... SY+GREASY2) as a broodmare to cross with QH hunt seat horses. She is 16HH and weighs ~1150 pounds. She was unraced due to a divorce. Recently, someone looked at this mare's pedigree and said she was being wasted on hunt seat horses. Her dam, Swoon Me won $43000 total (15 wins in 85 starts) over 7 seasons. I don't have any specific info about the sire Tarnish Pride but was told he was moderately successful, perhaps even winning a minor stakes race. I chose Easy Greasy as a hunter type broodmare based on her balance, stout conformation and the longevity and durability shown in the dam's race record. So far I have been very pleased with the babies.

Please share your comments on: 1.) Suitability of Easy Greasy as a racing broodmare. 2.) Your interpretation of her pedigree 3.) Any comments you can make about the x-factor analysis as I have no understanding of this. 4. ) Anything else you think I need to know.

Her sire Tarnish Pride had a win and a place in eight starts & earned $1,308. Her dam was a hard-knocking mare that raced 7 years and won 15 times in 88 starts, but she ran at regional tracks for small purses, and she has four named foals - none to race - in her produce record. The 2nd dam produced a winner and a placer in restricted Colorado stakes. The closest graded stakes winner in her tail female is under the fourth dam. None of this suggests there would be any commercial appeal if you're thinking of breeding her to sell the foal as a racing prospect. If you're thinking of breeding her to keep & race the foal yourself, send her to the best breed-to-race stallion you can afford.
