I'm going to go wayyyy out on a limb and add The Green Monkey to the list.

Is it going out on a limb to say that he might never make it to the races?

Rumor has it that the name Tiz Wonderful should be in the same sentence as the words "minor banana bow." Thoughts?

As far as The Green Monkey goes, the golf course he's named after is more likely to run in the Derby than the horse is, I'm thinking.

Tiz Wonderful is line-bred 5X5X5 to Northern Dancer, and has 9 crosses of one sire line, far too many to avoid an injury. Northern Dancer's son Sadlers Wells is noted to produce many offspring with tendon injuries.

I always read Louis's comments. They're better than reading how Giant's Causeway is a siring success with only 25% winners/foals.

It's too bad about Tiz Wonderful. Is 'rapped' a medical term that I'm not familiar with, or does it just mean he banged it? It must be a pretty bad injury to withdraw him from Derby contention at this stage.

Keep lining up the list of outs, cause these trainers/owners don't give a damn about these derby contenders unless they win. They have too much time and money in them to wait on them to mature. Until the Triple Crown is moved to an older age group, the list of injured/crippled horses will continue.

yup thats what that means when they say "he rapped his tendon alittle"..bullshit lingo for "he bowed"

Thanks reenci, sometimes I'm bamboozled by all the terms that are used. Does anyone know what the conditions were like when he bowed that tendon? I know the accident happened about the time that I was getting notifications of postponed workouts for one of my partnership horses because the weather was extremely wet. I hate to think of a horse being ruined just because it was sent out in bad weather.
