Postby serenarider » Thu Feb 22, 2007 6:32 am

Hi everyone,
Not sure if you remember last year the mare I picked up off of a trainer from Sullfok that had listed one of his mares on Canter. Well she "Pyrite Gun" had a Colt by Indian Ocean on the 8th. She loves beeing a mom took to it like a pro:) Im so happy for her and I really she has been the best mare and fit for my breeding program here in fla.

Here are a couple of pics when he was a 24 hrs old. Not the best but will get more to share

How fun, Serenarider! He'll be out and about in no time, trying out his coordination and his legs. :P

Congratulations on your boy! Couldn't you just squish him?! We have Pyrite Glory at our farm, I am unsure of her breeding but could check, I wonder if she's any relation to your new mommy?

I wish our new babies could go out in sunshine instead of slush!!! LUCKY!

Thanks Everyone:) Im going to take better pics this weekend of them both. She looks great and so dose he. He is a funny thing all he dose is run run run. Now Pye is like ok you just go i will waite here. lol She really is a great mom.

I wish we had green grass everywhere. lol we have had some big freezes here in Ocala that has finally turned the grass. Strange weather to say the least. Pye's new hubby this year is Closing Arguement. Sometimes you just get lucky and find the needle in the hay stack so to speak;)

Amanda1 I will check and see if your mare and mine are related.

Thank you again everyone. He is something alse I tell ya :o He is a little to big for his britches right now. lol Lets see he loves how to bite, charge me and see if he can take me out if he could.

My other mare is not due till late march so he will have to waite on a pasture mate till then. Manners will be at the top of his list :P

But this mare is so wonderful I just love her. I was blessed when she came into my life:)
