incomplete progeny - again

Postby the Ol'Line Rebel » Mon Mar 05, 2007 7:15 am

Hi, just a note that here we go again with the progeny hiccups. This time (the more rare kind), limited progeny listings, apparently ending with progeny whose names start with "C".

I've run across this before (not sure it always ended with "C" horses, but it was always just a few letters into the alphabet), but figured I'd flag it because it's now into its 2nd day at least.

As I've informed others before, PedQuery frequently "hiccups" as far as showing any progeny at all, almost every day. Presumably when the database is updating itself. This has become frequent but usually ends by afternoon or so, when progeny will appear again.

This is similar but not quite the same; some progeny appear as opposed to no progeny at all.

definitely not working correctly. Anyone know what is wrong or if they will get it fixed?
best regards Brendan

I see today it is even worse. No offspring beyond those with "B".

Why do we not see prompt replies to this thread? We are paying money for the subscription and yet this problem which has been extant for a couple of days now does not seem to be receiving any attention, nor the courtesy of a reply from a database administrator.

Honestly, I don't think they log into the forum very often at all. The best bet is to email them directly. The site was down for maintenance for a short time today... I have no idea what they were doing, but perhaps they were trying to fix this problem???

Hopefully this issue has been addressed. Just have some growing pains with the site and the script that updates the progeny queries didn't get a chance to run properly a couple days ago. I spent some time addressing the issue this morning and it should be working properly now.

Thank you Miles! I've checked again (about every 12 hrs) and now Mr. Prospector has all his children A-Z, not just through B!

Thanks Miles

Smoke Glacken has also regained all his progeny. Now I can look up how to spell Smok'n Frolic any time.

And this morning, I see we are at an impasse again! This time, the more typical NO progeny. I suspect this will right itself by afternoon.
