Rags to riches !!!!!!!!

Postby bdw0617 » Sat Jun 09, 2007 3:37 pm

Rok.......do I even need to say anything?

I said all along two thigns.. first of all, she gets better the father she goes. Secondly, she had the 2nd highest beyer in the field...

On a personal note, I hit the single, the exacta and the trifecta.. it's not going to pay very much but I got her at 4 to 1.

So what's next for rags.... she is probably the best HORSE in the country... does she attempt the boys again?

I have never teared up because of a race before and today, I find tears coming down my cheeks. Im never emotional about horse racing being an owner and around it my whole life...

But this... this is just huge!

The class of this filly should never have been questioned... and so many people, here and around the country gave her no chance and said she didn't belong.

She didn't steal this race... she earned it!

She ran eye to eye to one of the top males in the country, and he put his head in front on a few occasions... and she just dug in like the true champion she is and won!

A TRUE CHAMPION!!!

What now Rok!!!

That was an awesome race! She has to have the 3yo filly eclipse locked up, is Horse of the Year in her near future?

She was amazing. I love how some on the broadcast say "well she was fresher... didn't have as hard as a campaign" yet 30 minutes ago, the biggest knock against her was "she's too fresh" or "not fit enough race wise". Amazing.

No ONE can take anything away from her.

Sweet, sweet, sweet!!!

I was screaming my fool head off too! It was another awesome race...too cool. The lady is a champ...the crowd was going crazy after the race.

Yeah, poo-poo the idea of a filly going up against the colts. If a filly or mare has the talent by all means, race her against the males.

I thought she did not belong but she ran a great race. I was wrong. However, I did box Curlin, Tiago and R2R on my exacta ticket.

Holy shit! That was incredible :D I thought her dam was valuable before RTR won the Belmont .... It's funny to read how so many people scoffed at her chances but she sure showed us who was best!

I think she gets crushed against older horses this year if thats where they do decide to go. if against straight 3 yr olds she has a shot every time.

I think she will be retired after the Breeders Cup

How awsome have the triple crown races been. Street Sense's Romp, Curlin's come from behind win, and now this great stretch battle between one of the top colts and fillies in the game.

Rags to Riches just put on one of the most impressive performances I have ever seen. What a Filly!

. my biggest rule, and my most profitable one is to NEVER EVER LISTEN TO ANYONE ELSE'sOPINION ON ANYTHING.

I watch too many races not to have opinions of my own. most of them are right.. however just because you are right doesn't mean the race ends up being what you want it.

For anyone to question this fillies class is clueless. if you actualy look at her races, only the one when she went 6 wide around both turns was she even asked to run! She was treating grade 1's like paid workouts,a nd people had the nerve to say she didn't belong, epically with her bloodlines.

Now, with all that said, I liked curlin a little better, but as soon as i saw that tote, I put r2r on top... curlin had too many questions to go off at anything under 2 to 1 IMHO.

People who do no handicapping whatsoever, giving unsound advice like "it's just really tough to put a filly against the boys, blah blah blah".. um.... she's head over heels better than all but one.

about 2 days ago, when everyone made a post saying that she is not better than Curlin and Hard spun, i said I don't know where everyone is geting htat from (media), the only real question is, will she beat curlin or coming in 2nd. Hard spun didn't want any part of the prekaness but some people had him to win the Belmont? Like he didn' exert any effort in his last 2 races either.

I had imawildandcrazyguy as my LONG shot, it was the only longshot I thought that figured, but hard spun f'ed it up and wouldn't take the lead

I change my opinion about larry jones.. he takes any chance of his horse winning by trying to change his running style. The horse reminds me alot fo Lion Heart.. just let the damn horse run larry!

True that, as well as Hard Spun. He was eager to go but alas it was not meant to be.

Curlin and Hard Spun have earned a break...

couldn't have said it any better... no shame in looing by litterarly a headbob to the best filly possibly since the movie I will sit down an watch later tonight

Plus I think he made enough to pay the feed bill and to buy some mint's for the next month :)

Give him 2 months off and point him towards the Travers and let him demolish SS

Why did Ron Anderson take the mount on Hard Spun for Gomez? There was talk all along the R2R might run. I would of waited on R2R or not have a ride in the Belmont. I would have never lost that mount on R2R.
