Point Given

This horse is really getting some good, quality runners. I was horrified with a lot of the yearlings I saw of his from his first crop, but I keep seeing good ones pop up in stakes all over the place.

And as of this minute, he's improving his mares. He was certainly one I wrote off as did many others. Glad to see me proved wrong.

FWIW, our mare - well removed from crooked yet not text book correct - produced a solid chestnut filly by Point Given that is absolutely perfect.

Point Given isn't "crooked" in my eyes, just a little unproportionate. And many of his yearlings have the same look. But many of those yearlings who sold well under stud fee are running with a lot of success.

CHoltz, I think you may want to keep the filly. His fillies are running well and should have the size to produce good sales foals.

I saw all PG's races in NY, and the horse had the same demeanor as a "rock star" He would strut around the walking ring "surveying his subjects"..the.fans. Compared to his competition, physically and talent-wise, PG was the equivalent of Shaquille O' Neill.

He did not look to me unproportioned...just huge.

Many NY mares must have visited PG because he is siring several winning NY breds too.
