considering I think etched is the best 3YO dirt horse in the country, 30 to 1 is slap yo momma insane

I'm a huge wicked style fan as well and if not for that horrid track and post i think he woul dhave given war pass a run for his money

i'pl show you how funny this is.. anak nakal is 25 to 1. etched beat him like a red headed step child in his last race

this guy is smoking crack. War Pass might not get the distance, but I'll take 25-1 that he will. Dennis of Cork and Cool Coal Man were workmalike, but at 50-1 and 100-1 I'll take my chances that they were not sent out for their peak performance in Jan. Pyro part of the field???

I was under the impression that Nownownow was being sent to Britain to race. Does this mean his connections are going to prep him on the turf and bring him back for the Derby? Doesn't seem likely to me. I wouldn't take odds on him running.

Anak Nakal is 25:1? I'm sure if you ask Nick Zito which of his three year olds will love 1 1/4 mile, he's the one.

Gimme all you can!

I don't think I'm a dumbass, I didn't put a bet on Nownownow, precisely because he is in Britain. That's why I'm wondering what he's doing in a Derby Future book? However, I'd say that anybody that does bet Nownownow without doing a bit of research might just possibly merit the term dumbass.

And Dynalot? I love Dynaformer but who is this horse?

Here are the top 15 Future Book *Stamina Numbers for the 2008 Kentucky Derby

1) Nownownow (20-1) (0.58)
2) Georgie Boy (25-1) (0.62)
3) Check It Twice (35-1) (0.62)
4) Court Vision (20-1) (0.66)
5) Anak Nakal (25-1) (0.66)
6) Wicked Style (40-1) (0.69)
7) Maimonedes (40-1) (0.70)
8) Z Humor (35-1) (0.80)
9) Blackberry Road (35-1) (0.83)
10) Majestic Warrior (30-1) (0.83)
11) War Pass (25-1) (0.85)
12) Giant Moon (50-1) (0.86)
13) Denis of Cork (50-1) (0.87)
14) Visionaire (80-1) (0.91)
15) Dynamalt (150-1) (0.95)

*The stamina numbers are based on a formula that evaluates the overall stamina influences via the female families (conduit mares) within a 4 generation pedigree.
In theory, the lower the number, the more stamina contributions. The numbers have nothing to do with racing talent or training regimens, only the racing stamina that may be infused via conduit mares.

Hi Bill,
Thank you for the post. In looking at the numbers, their isn't a large gap between them. Is there a cutoff point as to inherent ability to go the Derby distance or would all these numbers qualify in that respect. Thanks TJ

They would all qualify IMO. Right now, I'm liking Anak Nakal, and I wouldn't write off Maimonedes just yet.
