Many of those stallions that qualify as the best chefs of dams throughout their pedigree are medicore stallions. Thats what makes breeding the elusive champion a hole in one. Many are called but few are chosen.
Those without sin cast the first stone.

LDK

Fine work, Keith. Have to put the dogs out and go to bed. Let's compare double copies and reines for each. LDK and A.P.. Which, reines or double copies should be next in line in order of importance after number of SW in the first 4 generations. I vote reines but not strongly.

Grand Reward and Sky Mesa both have 44 I believe and their dams are still producing.

Pretty good, London, but both fall short in reines up close and double copy status. Both may end up with better reines up close as soon as Ellen Parker gets around to doing her research on them. A.P. is out of a double copy and by a sire whose mother was a double copy. No surprise that he has the second fastest Belmont of all time and is the sire of the only filly to have won the Belmont at it's current distance.

Rocking Trick has 11 G1SW's under his first three dams.. but I haven't added up all of the stakes winners.

Maybe you're thinking of me... I'm in Indiana and stand a son of A.P. Indy.

Good work, Keith. How do you come up with this stuff? Do you have another database other than this forum? A.P. Indy's fine son, Mineshaft has 3 reines up close and 6 out of the first 7 AND a total of 49 stales winners in the first 4 generations. Not quite as many double copies though.
