Progeny problem

Postby Roger » Sat May 10, 2008 9:01 pm

I've entered some horses into the data base and they are there, but they don't show up when I click progeny, what am I doing wrong?

I understand that it takes more than 24 hrs for a horse just entered to show up in the parent's progeny query.

As much as two weeks sometimes. I think the database only updates a few times a month anymore.

Then there's all the glitches and crap that are going on that make entries or the info attached to them disappear at random. Not that Miles cares or anything.

The female family reports show no progeny, and ,of course, the progeny report says the "name was not correctly entered". I checked 2 mares that have been in the system a long time.
This database is getting annoying. Bad enough to not update the GSV and the Conduit Mare values, but dropping data is just not right !!

Today, no progeny is showing on any sire or dam, be it famous or obscure. I have tried quite a lot of names, and the message is the same for all: "No progeny records for XXX."

The data was never missing. There was an issue with the progeny query, but that seems to be fixed now.

This problem has reared its ugly head again. No progeny reports available since Saturday night.

Thanks for checking. Came back briefly, now not working again. Seems to only work in the interim when I'm unavailable, unfortunately.

I haven't had a problem with it all day....it's working now. Have you tried clearing your broswer cache?

Having trouble with this data base, put in name and accepts and the next day says no such horse, being like that for a few days.

What's the horse's name? Is it happening sporadically, or with every horse you enter?

There have been some names that just aren't going in, for some reason. :?
