Bang in Sunshine Millions

Hi Ramona,
The 13 post is perfect for him. There is SO much early speed in the race that we're hoping he can pick up a few pieces in the last quarter mile. Bang runs on and off the lead, so rating him 6-7 lenths behind the leader is no problem. The last thing I want to see is him contesting the early lead---if the jocks sends him early you may see the first live assassination on TV!

Freddy,
Bang was beaten a nose in the Grade 1 Marathon Invitational at 870 yards at Los Alamitos in December. He really should have won, but for checking in the stretch. Before that, at Sunland Park, he won an 870 stakes by 4 lengths and a 1000 stakes by 7, setting a NTR. All these races were TB/QH.
It is raining at Santa Anita right now, so if the track is off tomorrow, we'll scratch Bang. "Safety first" is one rule I don't budge on--just ask my kids! They are sick of me saying it to them since they were born.

Duh... at least I got the 3 hour part right! I was looking through the programming to set the timer and couldn't understand why I couldn't find it! But, it's on at 4pm here, and it's set up to record, just in case we get to doing something in the barn and time gets away from us (like that ever happens.)
