We are fast approaching the one year anniversary of the death of jockey Michael Francis Rowland.
Mike died on Feb. 9, 2004, at University Hospital in Cincinnati, OH as a direct result of a spill at Turfway on Feb 4th.

i got to agree with you....why do they do it....gotta be some sort of inferiority complex being so small..lots to prove. ever wonder why the small dogs are the ones that always bite ? same reason. little men with lots of courage.Ruffian wrote:I have always wondered WHY jockeys do it- to their bodies', their life, everything seems a super hard life (most things connected to horses are imo), but Jockeys I love them to bits and any jockey that is out there every day or every other gets my respect instantly.
