Please do not make a statement like this. I am a CANTER volunteer who lists horses for trainers for free. I have absolutely no control over who gets what horse. Do not accuse me of giving YOU the shaft just because I listed this horse. I have a very good reputation for helping place horses, for selling my own project and being honest about them. You have no right to to say things like that about me. Your beef is with this trainer. Take it to her.

Its my understanding that all Jenarby has done was list the horse for the trainer she did not know anything else that happen. With that said I am sorry for showing my frustrations to her . She does a very good job placeing horses for trainers I guess sometimes they just don't work out ,Jenarby I'm sorry for what I said to you , I'm just feel cheated and i'm sorry

Thank you wen8t for that post.
I talked with the trainer this morning to discuss what happened. She said simply that the owner changed his mind. He saw all the interest in the horse and thought he could get money from someone else. Then he decided to breed her and sell her himself. Then he decided to try and breed one for himself. Sounds like her hands were tied as well. It sucks how things worked out but sometimes you just can't do anything about it.
This trainer really trries to do the best she can by her horses. She'll go without before she'll let one of her animals get into a bad situation. I've placed tons of horses for her and I hope she continues to come to me for help.

Because that is the way it works. In the majority of the listings we get the trainer has been told by the owner to find the horse a new home, get rid of the horse or sell it. That is why so many horses end up in kill pens. Trainers get stuck with horses they can not afford to keep. This trainer cares enough to help out even if it costs her to keep them until they find homes. I've listed about a dozen for her in the last year she gave away and a few she sold. Some owners have their own farm and do take responsibility for their horses. I'm not knocking all owners.....but I've seen it happen way too much.
