there are a lot of big names in the Big Cap this weekend. Saint Liam, Rock Hard Ten, Congrats, Island Fashion, Supah Blitz, Imperialism, Borrego and Lundys Liability. Should be an exciting race. Im pulling for Rocky. He worked a half in 48.60.

Imperialism ran huge last time , if he doesnt bounce then he should be right there again, however Saint Liam is a top class runner so look out for a great race.

Wilf Imperialism hung like the allowance animal that he has proven to be. the last 1/4 was in 26 and change, he had a perfect trip and still could not get there? has he ever gotten up?

A stronger and fit jockey would have got the job done. Alex Solis just returned from being injured and wasnt fit enough to ride 100%

with all due respect to everyone with a different opinon....there all running for second place money if the"saint" brings his A game and i cant see why he wont....imperialism real nice horse ...a cut below these....rock hard ten...real nice horse..most likely second....not as good as the "saint"....the rest.....well second and third in the big cap is nothing to sneeze at......my humble opinion....

and by the way i think imperilisms trainer does a fantastic job....problem is the horse has to do the running ...not her.....and he does like to sort of hang.....god knows , i bet him enough times.

Actually if you all want to be honest then its a bad bunch of handicappers after Saint Liam, I have witnessed several big caps and truly this is an ordinary year. Its just that I get a rush watching any race. I recall the 4 -horse field of 1988, however they were Alysheba, Ferdinand, Judge Angelucci and Super Diamond and what a race it was.!!

was Judge Angelucci on the lead in that race? or am i thinking of the breeders cup classic....where charlie whittingham after the race was just as excited about the judges performance as the winners.

Rock's going to come up short ... If I can break away during the day to place a bet, I make take a flyer on Imperialism if I can get 5-1 or better.

Unfortunately, St. Liam should destroy this group. The threads on DRF are billing this as Dutrow juice vs. Mandella juice. lol I don't know if I beleive these two are dopers ,but they sure seem to get horses to run faster as soon as the transfer into there barns. Can only hope its there skills as horseman instead of the abilities as chemists.

Freddy I didnt read the drf thread , frankly its hard to believe any slur on Mandella as I dont think that there is any great change when horses go to his barn other than the results of a well-run high class barn doing whats best for good horses. After all he was a Whittingham grad was he not? Charlie scoffed at all that nonsense and his staff worked hard keeping those runners sound and he got them fit. Anyway the race will be interesting to follow and I look forward to everyones opinions after the event.Oh REENCI I think that the race you recall was the 87 B C Classic at Holly Park when the Judge ran huge behind Ferdinand and Alysheba.

Do any of you know when/what channel they'll be airing the race on? If any? I can't find anything on the internet about it airing on network or cable television. On all of the online "tv schedules," it isn't listed at all.

If it isn't airing on tv, is there a radio station that I could listen to the race on? An A.M. station perhaps? This is driving me nuts. I really want to see/hear this race.

'bout the only channel I can think of that will air it live would be HRTV if you have that. Stronach won't send his signals to TVG and ABC is only broadcasting the 3yo preps (hmmmm ... $500k Grade 2 for 3yos over a million dollar Grade 1 handicapper ... yeah, good programming choice .. dumbasses .. they could at least tape delay the 'Cap).

As for the radio .. I think you are out of luck up in Sac. If you were in LA, you might have been able to get it.

Cal Expo is probably simulcasting it .. you could go down there.
