These videos were uniquely put online because the breeder could not manage to send them to me via email so I gave him the address of youtube to send them up there. I asked for them and you can see that from the last one that says "for Gwen 003".

...that is, comments on their awesome phenotypes.
Certainly, Catch A Bird was a unique horse with a unique ability to sire
roan-looking equines. It's incredible the good number of coat color students and geneticists who are following his case, even on various sites. Catch A Bird represents a very good opportunity to re-introduce what appears to be as the authentic the roan ("Ro" gene) color among Thoroughbreds.
May God Bless very much these unique equines and help these mares reproduce her unique coat colors for the joy of their breeders and all of us!

All the Best,
Hmmm, I would like to know why they decided to inbred
the name of GOLDEN BELT instead of CATCH A BIRD. Perhaps there are other reasons. Who knows. The fact was that they achieved duplicating the color.

wymanda, while I agree that I hate to see that degree of inbreeding as well, you really cannot deny registration to something that IS full TB, whose handler s made a stupid breeding decision
I owned this mare many years ago:
http://www.pedigreequery.com/higate+beau+affair
And when I saw the degree of inbreeding on her, made the decision to NOT breed her and sold her as a pleasure horse instead
And this is one of the most stupid breeding decisions I have seen:

Who in their right mind breeds their mare to the full brother of their sire???
And I agree with color - as much as I'd love to see the Catch A Bird offspring over here, they are old, its expensive to import them and judging by the pictures of them, all they have going for them is colour - nothing else - so IMO, it would not be a prudent or intelligent decision to start breeding more of them based on colour alone ...

Wow, what a missed opportunity!
In Spanish there is a saying: "No hay peor gestion que la que no se hace"
The translation in English is something like:
"There is no worse endeavor than the one never attempted".
Have you ever read the story on how the white tigers were achieved after the cropout appearance of the first pup in 1950?
This is a problem with one solution: a cooperative effort between two or more breeders. Why not?
Apropos the unusual interest in genuine roan Thoroughbred, look what I just came across:
