Adena Moving 5 Stallions to New York

Postby LB » Wed Oct 13, 2010 9:04 am

With the way things are going in KY, I'm sure this won't be the last announcement. The ones on the move are TOUCH GOLD, ALPHABET SOUP, SILENT NAME, TIAGO, and HARLEM ROCKER.

Adena is moving them around like crazy, Alphabet Soup and Silent Name were both in Ontario last year, they are being sent to NY along with some others from the KY farm. Ontario is getting Mast Track, Singing Saint, Wilko, North Light and Showing Up, in addition to Sligo Bay, Milwaukee Brew and Giant Gizmo.

Should be interesting.

Is it me or does this sound like a good move instead of a banishment? Or was I just taken in by the spin?

I'd say it's a good move for NY and for Adena as well. Hopefully the NY-bred program is set to come roaring back. And the days when stallions that left Kentucky were thought of as "banished" are pretty much over.

Maybe this is part of a new marketing scheme by Adena. Move stallions around their regional locations frequently. Regional breeders have to get to them while they are close because they will only be there as limited time offers before moving off to another market.
