F/T Sale
Moderators: Roguelet, WaveMaster, madelyn
I am heading out there with two gals that work for me (TB business interns) plus my friends visiting from Ft. Lauderdale. It was a bit of a shock that it is just a one day sale this year. It is supposed to be absolutely stifling hot. Did you want something inspected/ bid on?
So Run for the Roses, as fast as you can.....
Hi folks
If you're over there and see #288, I'm interested in what the Lewis Michael offering has to offer...

F/T Sale
I was thinking of going, but 8 hours of driving for one day a little too much for me. Just curious about some of the freshman sire yearlings that really looked good physically. I will be at the Sept. Keeneland sale.
We will be making the rounds outside - I hope Taylor Made has their ice cream stand as always. Someone suggested to bring a parasol or an umbrella.. at the least I will be in a straw hat. We will also be in the pavilion, but my visitors want the "full Monty" so we will be signing to get yearlings out to look at, going to the walk ring, etc. I imagine I will be in my usual garb for desperate weather - shorts, Hawaiian shirt, dark blue Nike Airwalks.. Will see if I can get a nice photo of 288 for you..

It's a bit of a mystery to me why this sale has shrunk so much - but I think the opposite of bdw. With only 303 horses cataloged, minus outs, there might be some competition for the stock that is there. At the end of the yearling sale there are 80 more head coming through from the Heiligbrodt dispersal.

thanks Madelyn. With the Hawaiian outfit you will be ready for anything - only thing missing will be the umbrella drink. As the new sires roll out their new charges, it would be interesting just to hang around a see what kind of buzz there is.

There sure was a lot of iffy horses and train wrecks for a "selected" sale with a $10K upset. #288 was like that..
The inside was packed. I have never seen it that full. On the other hand it was Brutally Hot. There were SO MANY empty stalls in the barns.. it was a bit sad. The pavilion/new administration remodel is lovely though.
