It's not working and it's the 7th, maybe this is February's update?

Is there a way to know when the site will be down? Can an annoucement be made and/or emailed so we can plan ahead?

The Derby is only 2 weeks away, so I imagine lots of people need to do their research, etc. I was shut out all day yesterday and lost valuable time.

Also, I recall reading a post from 2009 that the site will be overhauled and updated "soon" When will this happen? I have a suggestion for the overhaul - add broodmare sire info similar to the progeny list.

Thanks.

Is something wrong with the site, on a more general level? It takes forever to move from the main page to the pedigree. And when I wanted to look at La Ville Rouge's progeny, it said none were listed!!!! (I'm certain that they were listed earlier.....)

Nearco's pedigree as shown is incorrect:

The 3rd dam is listed as Sibola (USA) 1956, which is of course impossible.

Nearco - or rather, Sibola - has been fixed.

Sibola is not really fixed completely. I just looked her up and she still shows as born in 1956, with a 1964 foal.
The other foals are early 1900, and the parents are late 1800, which should be correct.

Georgez, you might want to clean your browser cache - your computer will sometimes 'see' older versions of a page when it needs cleaning. That can cause double-posts, too.

As for the progeny, it will take a day or two for that to straighten out. The 1964 foal has been changed to the correct Sibola (1959 mare), but the site needs to update before the progeny query will reflect this. That particular update runs every few days.

Lucy, I haven't said 'thank you' lately, either, but your efforts are really appreciated, as are the efforts of the other moderators.

Thank you all.

How can I insert the abbreviation for the SRB-Serbian pedigrequery.com under Country of Birth, as Yugoslavia no longer exists

I'm afraid that's not something that regular users, or even the research staff, can do. You'll need to send an e-mail to the webmaster using the 'Contact Us' link on the webpage. Sorry!

CANNOT edit horses who have been added with the WRONG sire.
Jockey club approved a 1990 NOBIZ LIKE SHOWBIZ who is NOT the same as NOBIZ LIKE SHOBIZ. There are several horses that have the FORMER listed as the sire that are, according to the jockey club INCORRECT but I cannot correct this information.
Here is ONE example.
