Here's a list of mares reportedly in the posession of the breeder in Many, Louisiana. Tomorrow we'll find out which are still alive.....I once felt sorry for 'Auto Be A Pro' at a sale and raised my hand to buy her out of pity. The auctioneer had someone else in mind for the horse and overlooked my hand to point at another bidder and pounded his hammer down....I always wondered where she went. This list was compiled from sales records and may be outdated, but is my closest estimation of which mares are on that farm...the humane society reported today that amre who's halter they could see the word 'cat' on had died. It was either Bunny Cat, or Claudcat from below...

this was posted on TC this a.m. what a horrible situation:

Heartbreaking update from Louisiana Horse Rescue Association @ ~10:30 pm EST (https://www.facebook.com/LHRA1):

To those offering fostering/transport etc, Thank You but at the moment we need to quarantine anything we remove from the property. After a couple of weeks when the horses are stabilized and we know the full effect of what we're dealing with we'll be looking for adoptive and possibly foster homes. I want to send a personal Thank You to Dr. Mirza and the LSU Vet school for their much needed and incredible help today. Without them, we couldn't have been effective. A larger vet team from LSU will be onsite tomorrow - we are so grateful for this assistance. Today we did a lot of firefighting and stablizing. Tomorrow we hope to further identify (many of the mares we need to look up tatoo numbers on so don't have final identifications yet). Of the 53 mares on the list, there are only twenty and change alive right now. Of the 20 2011 foals born, only 6 remain, and three of those are at risk. The 2011 foal crop seems fairly stable and in better health than anything else on the farm. We removed only five horses from the farm today - five healthy enough to go and with valid paperwork.

Revolting, heartbreaking situation and I hope and pray whoever is responsible for this gets locked up for a long, long time.

He's already out on bond. His trainer said they weren't that bad...Shame is he bought several of these at the LA Thoroughbred breeders sale in 2009 and 2010 supposedly. And out of a crop of 20 foals all they found were 6 weanlings.

I don't feel remorse in saying a person that lets that happen to an animal (or in this case dozens) should be shot. JMO
