Flashy guy but I think they should correct his height.

What on Earth is a first place champion?

it's better than a second place champion d'uh..

But seriously I wondered that too,, I have a feeling this stud is in the most experienced hands when it comes to TB breeding... but rest assured he will make nice foals when "crossed with Thoroughbred mares.."

and a $3,500 stud fee? You could BUY this horse for $3,500..

He's well bred and has quite a nice race record. I don't think $3,500 is a stretch at all for NY race breeders. His sire's fee is $10,000 and he doesn't have nearly the race record this stallion does.

Anyone carrying FREUD (plus his grandsires), along with the always
intriguing presence of WHAT A PLEASURE is quite an interesting find.

Well, seems like we have to learn to "overlook" the nomenclature known as "bay", huh? :D

They probably paid at least $400 for him.

I just came across a new officially registered black Thoroughbred.
His name is SILVER NORTHERN (black c 2009).
See his pedigree at:
http://www.pedigreequery.com/silver+northern

He very recently arrived next to last in this year's (2012) Prix du Jockey Club. At first I thought he was a gray horse because his entire body was quite charcoal grayish with a typical graying tail at the end. But no, he has no inmediate gray parent(s) and is officially registered as a "black" colt.

For those of you in the search of a future black Thoroughbred sire, enjoy this new case.

What a nice concentration of Byerley Turk bloodlines too! Wish someone would buy him and bring him over here.
