Splash White paper published!

Interesting one of the apparent ancestors of this pattern (not sure which one it was right off hand) was the TB stallion Blair Athol and he happens to be (WAY) back in the SW horse below Tartan shoot whatshisname.

Anyway this blog has a lot of posts about SW and discusses the new mutation which is sort of a mix of SW, Cream and DW in appearance! they kept the name the breeders chose instead of naming it SW4. If you go back a post the link to the paper is there and a pic. of Blair Athol also.

I am feeling a little proud of myself as I identified Blair Athol some years ago and posted it on the coloured throughbred breeders wall in a gallery of early splash carriers along with others carring the gene I beleive
