When a tb is gelded, it dosent change his parentage. The other study i am doing, dosent include geldings. My post of Cardamina is a different study.
If a breeder wants to breed for speed, he dosent have to use 25--29 crosses of Ph. stallions. A breeder can inbred to those NP sire lines in a balance with those Ph., sire lines. The balance of NP & Ph. will breed a sound individual, that will average more lifetime starts.

I'll bet the farm, that those stallions whose progeny bleed with the highest %, are FB stallions with intense inbreeding. I will ask trainer Richard Mandella, the names of our US stallions whose progeny are bleeders, & i will look at their pedigrees. I will not post the stallions names, but i will post whether they are FB stallions.

Parlo, i have been posting the thing about the lasix now for more than six yrs,
I have had email contact with a couple of people from the jockeyclub, and the kentucky racehorse board.
The problem is that every state in the US is independant,
and each and every jurisdiction can do what they like.
The problem is that the tracks do not like to looses horses on the short terms, the trainers are using the stuff early, the lower the weight the faster a horse can go etc. Beyond the natural abilty.
Get a look at clean horse racing .org.
http://www.bloodhorse.com/horse-racing/ ... fatalities Interesting view
Louis, btw, do you know that cardmania is having 5% phalaris via his bloodstrains, that is considerable more than the normal 3% which are found in the FB,s so your vision is missing the actual link. As the 3% is counting for horses of the present.
Mind that the US does not have signed the paragraph,s on racing and rules with the IFHA. gooiing about bute, lasix and a couple more med,s

Diamondsintheway suffered a break down in her 20th start, she raced at 2,3 and 4, not too bad for a Fashion Bred, a really good example of how you hand pick the horses you use but she was foaled in 2003 and broke down in 2007, do you have to go back that far to find an example, especially one that made 20 career starts? As with the majority of your posts this horse actually contradicts your theory that Fashion Breds break down early with less than 10 starts. Inbreeding to one sire line is not a major cause of break downs or non-starters.
