This colt from the September sale was WILDLY marked. http://apps.keeneland.com/sales/Sep12/pdfs/3100.pdf

He was a bright chestnut but had a belt of roaning around his center with stomach splashes. He also had a true skunk tail.

People were stopping and taking photos of him while he was out. The woman who bought him is going to race him but also market him to QH mares from what I understand.

I bet if you contacted Four Stars they'd share some photos of him. I know Frances Karon was snapping some pics of him before he sold. She's on the four stars site.

Thanks for bringing up Bletchingly. Was not aware on this young equine. Wow, any photo that can be seen here!

On the genetic side, it is understood that there is a difference between
"probabilities" and "possibilities". This is a estipulated issue. The posted writing is solely trying to focus on pluralism of crossess. But I really appreciate every effort made to Punnet-square all these interesting scenarios.

Would really like to read opinions from more Australian and New Zealand
participants. Who knows what other circumstances intervene here that we may not be aware of.

Any further thoughts/ commentary on color and performance stamping of progeny? An example is lion hunter progeny. Those progeny he stamped with his grey color, ESP females seem to have excelled on track whereas those that were non greys seemed not to. I am interested is this the case with native dancer and dancers image progeny. Also lavender fields (2005 aus) roan tb, some weeks ago gave birth to a palomino colt. Too early to tell if any roaning as yet however both doing well.

Greys Lion Hunter etc.

I have heard Lion Hunter is/was an exceptional stallion. I had a Mare(deceased now) named MISS CAMEO, by Double Century, i am lucky to have been able to breed a filly from her, Miss Cameo before i bought her was owned by Inglis & Sons, TB Bloodstock. Miss Cameo had also had foals by Jade Hunter, is this related to Lion Hunter? Like some replies if possible. I at present am lying low on the breeding money is short here in Australia for some , me included.
I have a few brood mares and a T.B.Stallion, and his Son whp is a 3 year old

My pride and joy, pretty rare, to the best of my knowledge Hat Trick is the only grey, frame overo, homozygous black thoroughbred in the world
He is 12 months old and just over 15hh

Oh my goodness can't wait to see those pictures!
The most auspicious fact is that one day, God willing,
he may become a sire, which means an exponential
number of foals per season, rather than only one foal
per year. :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

I would be interested to see pictures of this roan Palomino as I have always preferred the blue roan coloring and cannot imagine what a roan Palomino would look like.

Fluer,

Thank you so much for your very valuable and
informational participation on this topic.

You are bringing up great information for all of
us who avidly want to study more on this theme.

Many of us would really love to read more on the
fascinating roan lineage and even on the non-roan
lineage of Catch A Bird.

Can you please inform us more at the following thread?:

Thanks in advance for your participation.

Any recent news on the Catch A Bird roan descendants?

Until then, enjoy this awesome example of "chimmerism" in a cat.

Perhaps, a very illustrative way to define what “chimmerism” does in a Thoroughbred is to
See what it does on a cat. See for yourself:
