You followed me into another thread to insult a stallion's photo that I said I liked.

I felt like rather than be like you and say something not nice, I'd just be the opposite and say something nice and positive about a horse.

Jef,

You mean the thread that I first commented in way back in August? That thread? I didn't follow you there. I've been there.

Recently in that thread we disagreed on the conformation of a stallion. You liked him. I was interested enough to take a closer look (found a different photo) and disagreed with your assessment. So what? What exactly does that have to do with the fact that I really enjoy watching other posters' babies growing up in the Foal Watch area of the site? What does it have to do with my specifically appreciating that Tappiano has been so great about posting updates about Earthly Delights?

Do you have any foal pictures up on here? I would certainly like to follow their progress too.

We both agree, it's nice to watch an attractive thoroughbred colt grow up. No, I don't have any foals this year thanks. How about you?

If only we could be so lucky, right? Hope he does well down in warmer weather and is ready to go come spring!

He left today, I feel like a parent who's sent their kid off to sleep away camp. I just hope he behaves himself on the trailer, when he was at the sales grounds he was rough housing with the horse in the stall next to him and every time they'd put the tarp up they'd manage to pull it down.

Good luck! I'm sure he will do well on the trip South, afterall, he is off to warmer weather - vacation time right? ;). He'll be shocked when he finds out what real school is all about. Will be good for him though. Keep us posted on how he is doing.

He's arrived, bitten his teacher and taken a load off. He loves his naps!

Yes he is and he's a great student. Afraid of nothing, not even the gate. Goes between, inside, outside horses and always asks his rider if he can go faster.

Now that I figured out how to save photos that show up in text messages here's a more clear one. He's maturing beautifully and they won't push him until he's ready and he's not there yet.... even his one foot that wasn't really growing at the same rate as the others which means he's finally got some heel on that right front.
