That would be nice; this is definitely the type of thread that you always hope stays very short.

I don't know for sure what's happening with Majestic Hussar, but I hope trainer Eddie Keneally isn't taking hm off the Derby trail. He got a ridiculously fast ride from Luis saez in Fountain of Youth, still finished 4th. He does well (better) coming from off the pace and should run all day if rated. I think he deserves a chance.

Anybody know what Keneally's thinking?

Hi Duncan,
He's on the farm...will look to return this summer...guess he will target the Kings Bishop at Saratoga. TJ

Hi Barbaro,
At least he wasn't forced off the trail with an injury. TJ

Speak Logistics passed on a run in the 170 point Blue Grass. Therefore he won't have enough points for a spot in the "Kentucky Derby". He will instead, be favored to win the "Calder Derby" on Calder's opening day this Saturday. TJ

Hear the Ghost is off the Derby trail. He was off in his training, will skip the Santa Anita Derby, and the co-owner is saying he'll be out a month. Poor Jerry Hollendorfer.

On April 14 the connections for Uncaptured, Merit Man, and Departing confirmed that their horses are no longer under consideration for the Derby. Also, Den's Legacy, sixth in the Arkansas Derby, did not fly to Kentucky as originally planned. Trainer Bob Baffert sent him back to his California base.
