Hi Tappiano,

I share the same sentiments,I had to do the same with my colt. He's very big and they said the best thing was to geld him in order to prevent these troubles. Yes I went along since they are the experts. So far So good.

They don't seem to mind the rain like we do. I figure it's because they know someone else will dote on them after the work.

He's on my watch list. Any hint as to how confident JC is about the field?
Will you get to be there Tap?
I think he'll do well :)

Yes I will be there.
We did not talk about the field as I saw her before they did the entries. This was the last possible race he could have gotten into, the one today at Monmouth Park did not go and neither did the one tomorrow so all we knew is there were seven entries as of noon. Del doesn't do their draw until later in the day and with this being closing day they didn't even put the riders up on half the field.
Most of JC's firsters don't win first out so I just hope he runs well and comes back safe. We shall really see how well he learned his lessons :D

Nice race, Tappiano. He made a really nice move around the turn, then came to the inside in the stretch. Nice learning race. And a 4th place finish first time out is great.

Thank you! I am so pleased that all the lessons he was taught have paid off. He did everything his rider asked of him, he just did not know what he was supposed to do. He should move up nicely next time. :D

I see a very nice 3yr old on the horizon. Are those colours your own? Mine are very close but have a sky blue sash over the burgundy jacket.

Yes, they are mine. The first and last colors of the rainbow with a dark side of the moon kind of theme.... the brown instead of black was to get the other colors to blend so to speak.
