I sold her for $10,000 as a yearling, she has returned 110% on her investment, not too shabby.
I RNA'd her half brother a couple of weeks ago, if the private sale falls through I will own my first race horse!

Now that is what I call an achievement, how exciting for you and for the owners too! Harold the trainer used to gallop horses at Fort Erie when he first came from the prairies and his wife is the owner. Nice to see the money spread around a bit, it can only be a good thing. I love Sligo Bay , what's the story with the siblings Mood?

Thank you all!
wilf - I am so happy that I pvr'd the race so that when I got home I could relive it all, also I could more easily hear Harold's interview as I had moved away from the winners circle. His interview was so touching. Not too many people knew of Harold and Jessie before the Princess Elizabeth but I think that has certainly changed. He was so genuinely thrilled after the win and in the interview he comes off as the most likeable guy at Woodbine. I'm so thrilled for them, they are kind, hardworking people and Harold really did love "Lexi" at the sale, he came up numerous times to see her. Such a great and memorable day!!
Anyhoo, I gave the mare the season to recuperate after her foaling - http://www.pedigreequery.com/forum/view ... hp?t=33797 She delivered a full brother to Paladin Bay and he bares a striking resemblance to her. Sligo Bay is an option for next year but more then likely she'll be going to visit a lovely gent at Winstar. I did end up selling the Strut The Stage half brother so still no race horse for me.
I saw your horse ran a good third on sunday's card - congrats to you

Congratulations Ericka on her win in the Ontario LassieI today. I think she's got a good chance at bringing home champion 2 year old filly award this year!
Well done!
