anyone familiar with ellis park claiming rules?
I am assuming I need to be licensed in KY in order to claim a horse at Ellis Park. Other than that, are their any other regulations I need to follow? I know that at certain tracks you can't claim unless you've had a horse claimed from you.

Hi Blue,
According to the Kentucky Horse Racing Commission claim rule, it would seem they have an open claiming rule (http://www.lrc.ky.gov/kar/810/001/015.htm). Some tracks within the State could impose other restrictions, so contacting the KHRC (859-246-2040) concerning Ellis Park would be a good idea. TJ
