Anyone know a rough estimate of the cost of this trip? I would like to make an offer to buy a horse at Mountaineer and want to know what I need to have set aside for shipping.

my shipper charges $1 a loaded mile, and it appears to be about 340 miles. You're lucky - my last one was 900 miles away!!

Hm. I think you have to factor something in for crossing the border. It's been awhile but I believe there are time restrictions and you can only take a horse through at Ft Erie (not sure).. $1 a loaded mile is dead cheap with fuel so high. I think I would expect to pay $500 to $600.

I actually did this reverse ship about 5 years ago. The charge back then was $750. I prefer the meaning behind your ship direction to mine.
