I would add Broken Vow and Tale of the Cat to your list.

Those were my top six and seven sires. Something intrigued me about Bluegrass Cat. I just see big time value. And if he's matched to some distance suited mares I feel he will produce classic runners.

Nice list. There are so many good stallions at $25,000 or less. I'm sure if we all made a list of our favourite 5 at that price, it would be different. For example- another I really like is Jump Start.

City Zip is currently #5 on the General Sires list. Bluegrass Cat is such a good price at $7,500.

Tale of the Cat sired Gio Ponte, a Graded winner at 1 1/2 miles. Giant's Causeway was a 10 furlong winner and also had stakes winners at classic distances in Europe. And Shackleford, son of Forestry, won the Preakness. No Kentucky Derby winners but the Storm Cat line can produce classic winners.

Nice winner for Jump Start with Miss Behaviour yesterday. Has had a nice career as a sire-24 stakes winners including 3 millionaires. Only $10,000. Nice!

The sire I like in this category is Tiz Wonderful, his progeny come out running and sell well. I expect his modest $7,500 fee to go up for 2015. TJ

Tiz Wonderful is a bargain just when looking at how impressive his two-year-olds have been. I read that he has been sold and is being exported to Korea in 2015.

Midnight Lute - $25,000

First Samurai - $15,000

Curlin - $25,000 and with a yrling median of $80,000 he's beating the desired 3x stud fee, but a sad crop size this year.

Of course advertised fee and what the seasons for some of these guys were actually going for are two different things. ML up to $30,000 NG and FS up to $23,000 NG from what I saw.

Super Saver is a great freshman sire as is Lookin at Lucky and were good values if you got them this year. They aren't really proven yet and I'm sure their stud fees will rise up in the next coming years if they keep producing. I'm a big Super Saver fan because of his pedigree and who is he being bred with by Win Star.
