BLOFELD -- Promising 8-9 furlong racehorse & promising sire

Postby Jorge » Sun Nov 23, 2014 8:24 pm

BLOFELD (gr/ro c 2012) http://www.pedigreequery.com/blofeld3

Keep an eye on this talented one. God willing, he looks to me like a promising 8 to 9-furlong racehorse & a promising sire for the future.

Thanks for sharing your impressions.

These are some of the outstanding grey descendants coming from Courbette (Native Dancer—Gallorette (Champion), who is the fifth dam of our subject colt: BLOFELD.
Except for Saint Liam, these are all grays. The list of the other very talented non-greys descendant
from Courbette is pretty substantial. At this moment, the 3-for-3 BLOFELD looks like a very interesting serious Classic contender.

SAINT LIAM (from QUIET DANCE/MYSTY DANCER/FLIGHT DANCER/COURBETTE)
SILVER GHOST (from MYSTY GALLORE/FLIGHT DANCER/COURBETTE
DANCING MOSS (from COURBETTE)
MINSTRELLA (from Flight Dancer/Courbette)
COLONIAL MINSTREL (from MINSTRELLA
MINIDAR (from MINSTRELLA/FLIGHT DANCER/COURBETTE)
MINI SERMON (MINISTORM/MINIDAR/MINSTRELLA/FLIGHT DANCER/COURBETTE)
STORM MINSTREL (dam of BLOFELD)

BLOFELD, who I guess is about to return soon to competition,
is among outstanding racing and breeding company
who have won the Futurity Stakes. Lets see the list:

Grey Winners of the Futurity Stakes since 1888:

2014 BLOFELD http://www.pedigreequery.com/blofeld3
1995 MARIAS MON http://www.pedigreequery.com/marias+mon
1993 HOLY BULL http://www.pedigreequery.com/holy+bull
1969 HIGH ECHELON http://www.pedigreequery.com/high+echelon
1955 NAIL http://www.pedigreequery.com/nail
1952 NATIVE DANCER http://www.pedigreequery.com/native+dancer

Now a question: Will Blofeld follow the same "against-older-horses" schedule once
followed by Holy Bull, or will he try to re-insert himself back into the
sophomore picture?

Thanks in advance for your opinions.
