Sheer Pleasure

Won her first start (MSW 6f on dirt Dec 19 R6 @Los Al) by 6 1/2 lengths
Now entered in the Cal Cup Oaks on Jan 25th. Both of her parents are at the farm where I work. Very exciting to see, especially as we have her 2 year old half sis, by Pleasantly Perfect. Her mother (Kathryn's Birthday) doing very well in the breeding shed, all winners if I remember correctly.

Made her rally from last, 4th place seems fair when I remember its only her 2nd start. I think its pretty fair to say she belonged though. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=huak7s0S_A0

Is now looking to run in the Evening Jewel Stakes @Santa Anita on April 4th. She lost her rider out of the gate in her last outing, both were ok- and she demonstrated her understanding of the game by running with the others and passing all horses in the stretch sans rider.

Terrific!

The $200,000 G2 Summertime Oaks (June 20th) is next for Sheer Pleasure. I'm now in charge of prepping 4 yearlings including a half sister to sheer pleasure, for a sale in KY. This is so fun and exciting!!!

Bummer! Tough trip on the rail forced Sheer Pleasure to back up several times to get around everyone and make her rally. I have a feeling she would have been 'right there'. Next time! In other news SP's 2 year old half sis is getting ready to be broke/gallop so should be seeing her by year's end!
