Todd Pletcher will discuss scratching Stanford with his owners and if agreeable, Stanford will be scratched Friday morning allowing Frammento to draw into the Derby field. TJ

Thanks TJ. Still seems like quite a sudden change of heart since he just entered the Derby yesterday and got an OK post position. I'd say he belongs in here as much as any.

It's official, Stanford is out and Frammento is in, Zito's having a party:>) This scratch moves American Pharoah into post position 17, a slot no Derby runner has ever won from....post 17 record: 36-0-1-2. TJ

Well, if he's as special as they say, he will overcome. If his pedigree gets in the way and he doesn't get the distance, it won't really matter.
