As I live in a state where parimutuel wagering is illegal, it constantly baffles me when I see those ads on tv about fantasy sports, and how some folks are winning millions of dollars gambling on it.
The policies seem inconsistent to me.
When I googled WHY IS IT LEGAL?, this explanation came up on one of their websites:
"The legality of daily fantasy sports is the same as that of season long fantasy sports. Federal Law and 45 of the 50 US States allow skill based gaming.
Daily fantasy sports is a skill game and is not considered gambling."
How is thoroughbred horse racing -- from the bettors point of view -- not a "skill game" ?!
"fantasy" sports

Re: "fantasy" sports
I am confused because they have horse racing in my neighbor state, UTAH. And they bet. And its legal.
Re: "fantasy" sports
I don't know what to say about Utah ... the wiki page indicates it is not legal there:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gambling_ ... ted_States
I live in the Carolinas, and I know horse racing / betting is illegal here. But apparently I could legally bet on sports thru Fan Dual or Draft Kings ...
Just seems like an inconsistent set of policies, IMO.

OKay so this is about Draft Kings and Fan Fuel, they are going down hill because they don't have a lisc in many states. I would watch out for your money. Don't listen to Wiki Pedia because even equibase DOESN'T document all the thoroughbred racing in the west coast either. Pm me if you want to know more about Draft Kings and Fan Fuel.
