I see that Bill hasn't posted in a while; just checking to see if anyone has talked to him recently.

We were facebook friends up until recently- searched his name and could no longer find him.

Was hoping for Bill to weigh in.....anyone heard from him?

Haven't heard a thing....he hasn't even returned his messages and he always did. I hope he's OK. TJ

May I say....that as the first Saturday in May approaches and it appears that we (by that I mean: the bettors/fans) have an excellent race to watch/bet......
I really miss reading the posts from "Bill of Wash" (or William "Bill" Lathrop)...
Bill Lathrop came up with the Conduit Mare Analysis. and has generously posted his picks from a 'pedigree analysis approach' to this site in advance of the Ky Derby and a few other major stakes races. His analysis gave a great deal of weight to the contributions of the female family of a contender and I grew to look forward to the 'insight' that such an approach/analysis/perspective gave to a major race.
I truly believe that in the end, the mare's contribution to a colt's (or filly's) ability to do a 1.25 mile against world class company....

I suspect that an interested party could derive his contact info from this website:
http://www.soundpolitics.com/voterlookup.html
There is one person listed who seems the right age, compared to a photo which results from googling billfromwa.
Interested parties could derive his address and write to him.
Couldn't find any obituary that seemed connected.

Well, it's been a year (to the day) since Rogue posted this thread, concerning our most respected poster, Bill from WA. I know he is sorely missed by many and posted in hopes someone may have heard from him? If so, please let us know. Rogue, have you heard anything? TJ

A couple of years or so ago Bill offered for sale here what appeared to be the bulk of his library. I worried at the time that it possibly indicated he was dealing with health problems. He certainly has been a valued, esteemed and innovative contributor to this site. We're all the poorer for his absence.

I spent a day with Bill at the WA Fall Sale at Emerald Downs a few years ago. We had a wonderful time. A true gentleman.
