They reported he was euthanized from his injury sustained in the '14 BC Dirt Mile, when he tried to run with Goldencents.
Sounds like they tried to do a bunch of stuff to get him sound enough to stand stud.... but my God, sometimes I think trying to save them is more cruel.

I feel really bad for this horse. I followed him with interest when he was racing.
It does look like he had a long struggle after his injury and I'm sorry he didn't win
that battle. It is very unpredictable what will happen with laminitis- usually it seems
they don't make it- but, then, there are examples like Lady Eli who do recover.
