Hey Diane ,how are things? Actually he was never really going past the winner I think and losing momentum cost him at the top of the stretch but I have no complaints after all he is 9 but he looked very sharp in post parade. He loves cool weather but it is rather mild there right now however that scenario must change soon. I hope that they can install the new Tapeta surface without much trouble as soon as this meet ends. They have used a local farm to rotate him away from the track and keep him fresh which I think helped him a lot. How are your team doing?

Another good run and a check for Tevez. He always seems to show up.

He came out of that last one so well you're sneaking in another? Just do one favor for me after he has his winter in Fl? Consider him for eventing? He's such a handy, speedy guy he might do very well? And of course that's if you don't already have plans for him ;)
Go Tevvy

Thanks Diane, I try hard to rehome all my horses as best I can and often it turns out well ,they go to polo, eventing, trail riding ,jumping or just inhand classes or even as baby sitters for lonely old retirees but I have no idea what Tevvy will do. I just don't see him eventing though ,he just isn't that athletic funnily enough.

Thank you it was fun to watch as he got a nice trail inside when he needed it and got room to move outside when the time came, to add to the fun our lady member Mood Swings came down for the win picture. Tevvy will be off south for a well earned rest as soon as a ride is available.

Tevvez went back in training in Ocala on thursday after a nice break at home. Ironically I bought his weanling half brother later that afternoon,in partnership with an old friend who breaks and educates runners and trains in the summer months.

Great to hear, Wilf, I hope Tevez is feeling good.

Don't forget to tell us the name of the weanling when he has one. Looking forward to his story also.

The old boy trained well enough after his florida vacation but had a rough trip in his first race back yesterday. He was beaten half a length for second but ended up 5th ,that's how it goes sometimes. The race should help him move up in fitness and we look forward to another try.

Wow sounds like he's on form though. I had my little red horse in a race like that was beat out for 2nd by a neck and wound up 4th.
