Tepin Refuses to Breeze (Now Retired)

Postby TJ » Mon Mar 27, 2017 11:33 am

Don't know what the problem is at the Casse Hacienda, but Champion turf mare Tepin followed in 2YO Champion Classic Empire's footsteps and refused to breeze this morning at Palm Meadows. Casse said she displayed signs of being in heat? Here's the story. TJ

Tepin has never struck me as a horse who has an attitude, I always thought she was quite professional. That is some crazy heat - maybe this indicates she's done with racing??? I know some mares call it quits when they feel like it.
As for this being the 2nd time a top Casse-trainee refused to work... you have to wonder???

Gosh, that doesn't sound good... she must be in real pain to refuse to work at all. Poor girl! I hope they figure it out...
