Sunday 5/14:
Lookin At Lee and Hence galloped Sunday morning at Churchill Downs and are expected to breeze early Monday morning before shipping to Pimlico on Tuesday.
Classic Empire is on his way to Pimlico via van, he's expected later today.
Conquest Mo Money arrived at Pimlico this afternoon...best they gave us was a photo: https://pbs.twimg.com/media/C_z15LOXgAAvG_h.jpg
Gunnevera walked.
Always Dreaming: another very good day of galloping over a less wet race track. TJ

What a very interesting perspective!
Thanks for posting that link, TJ.

The more I see this guy, the more I respect his chances.
In the late 70s, we had Seattle Slew then Affirmed then Spctacular Bid. Three great horses.
Can history repeat itself!?: California Chrome, American Pharoah, Always Dreaming?
(And where do we put Arrogate in there ... Maybe the best of the bunch!)

Hi Aug27,
I'm glad you enjoyed it...I'll look around today, hopefully we will get to see more than just Always Dreaming in these video links. Pimlico has been covering the Preakness hopefuls training at their track very well...disappointed with the way CD and Keeneland handled videoing those training at their tracks .
I remember the 70's well, it was an exciting time for racing...though we must add Secretariat to that list. When the dust settled everyone was of the opinion the TC was an easy task....with 3 TC winners in a row. But after 37 years of hopes being shattered, the tune changed. The same people who thought it was easy began saying we should change the amount of time between the TC races, it's too hard to accomplish. It's unfair to the horses. The horses are too soft and speed bred...unable to stand up to the rigors of the TC test.
BUT, here we are again after American Pharoah gave us hope...now looking for more TC winners. Always Dreaming will have his work cut out for him, but he seems to be going in the right direction since his Derby win. Yet it seems his major competition are also heading in the right direction...not to mention AD did get a perfect trip...while others encountered troubled trips from less then favorable post positions. Truth be told, AD was responsible for that perfect trip with his sharp speed and his ability to relax, rate and go the distance. Quite amazing considering he, as American Pharoah are both out of mares who were sprinters. The link seemed to be, both are sired by sons of Empire Maker who finished 2nd in the Derby....is that key to getting sprinting mares progeny to go long? Who knows:>) ...but I'm just glad to see us starting out with visions of sugar plums in this years Preakness.
By the way Aug...I agree, Arrogate was a victim of circumstances or Baffert would have had 2 TC winners in a row:>) TJ

Monday 5/15: so far no video's, will edit in here when and if they appear. TJ
Classic Empire...arrived late yesterday at Pimlico. He walked the shedrow today.
Gunnevera...took his first spin around the Pimlico surface today. He jogged slowly.
Always Dreaming...he woke up today while on his toes on the bridal path, started off his gallop with some athletic buck jump's, culminating in flat out trying to eject Nick Bush, eventually settled into stride and galloped determinedly.
Multiplier and Senior Investment...both had their final breeze yesterday at Keeneland and walked today. Senior Investment will fly to Pimlico this afternoon. Multiplier will van to Pimlico early tomorrow.
Hence and Lookin at Lee...turned in their final Preakness works....going 51 3/5 and 51 1/5 respectively at CD. They leave tomorrow for Pimlico.

Tuesday 5/16...no videos available as yet, but will edit in video's and other training updates when/if reported:
Always Dreaming...now that he's recovered from his Derby "downer", he's back feeling his oats and getting out earlier than before in hopes he will be less aggressive with less horses on the track. He galloped a strong mile and a half today.
Classic Empire...also out early, CE got the feel of the Pimlico strip today, jog/galloping approximately 7/8ths of a mile.
Conquest Mo Money...galloped a mile and a half today. His rider, Jorge Carreno who galloped him today as well as rode him in all his races, stated he like the Pimlico strip.
Gunnevera...galloped.

Video's 5/16:
No videos of others training today at Pimlico...hopefully later?
Always Dreaming: Here's this mornings gallop at Pimlico getting out under the cover of darkness. DRF reported a spirited gallop. To me this looked pretty even tempered and controlled gallop when we considering how he can get:>)

Always Dreaming: schooling in the paddock after today's gallop: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hhBea0ibMyo
Classic Empire: looked real good galloping today. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TUw6YSzPXfs
Norm Casse on Classic Empire: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hdf7rOoe5RI
Gunnevera: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iUIeno-DpLk
Conquest Mo Money: the link doesn't work, will keep trying. This is all I have...The link doesn't show the gallop, just him jogging before and after the gallop. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jgYcpGgEi0M

I haven't seen much on Cloud Computing and how he is coming into this race. I like that they had the sense to not put him in the Derby and ease him into this race.
Always Dreaming continues to train like a beast. Anyone else looking beast-like out there???

Hi Cree,
Cloud Computing came out of his work this past Saturday in good order. Chad Brown said he will ship to Pimlico today. Looks like most of the field will be at Pimlico by tomorrow or Thursday, so we should be able to see more of them in training. By the way his entry in the Peter Pan...the one who ran 4th (Take Your Guns) is being considered for the Belmont Stakes. Timeline, the PP winner is pointing to the Haskell...but will find another race before running in the Haskell (The Easy Goer, Dwyer or Pegasus). Brown said he doesn't think he is a mile and a half horse.
Concerning other "beasts" and not really seeing others train it's hard to say. Though Casse said Classic Empire has been very aggressive since his Derby debacle. Asmussen also reports Hence and Lookin at Lee are also doing great....I saw a picture of Hence galloping in draw reigns. He was looking and training good for the Derby...but he was getting washy daily and it may have hurt his chances. He also was unable to handle the track at CD....so between those two facts, he's probably got a buildup of energy flowing in his veins...only reason I could figure they had draw reigns on him (?)...maybe he's the hidden beast in here:>) TJ

Hi Cree,
I saw some videos later today that were unable to be linked in....and saw Classic Empire, Gunnevera, Conquest Mo Money in their gallops. I was able to get a link to Classic Empire but not the other two...so far anyway? BUT, I wanted to say Gunnevera looks and is training better than I've ever seen him. He packed on some weight and really is galloping much stronger than he did going into the Derby. Conquest Mo Money I've never seen gallop before and I really liked what I saw from him. He probably has the biggest engine of any of the Preakness contenders. Really liked the way he went. You've seen Classic Empire go and Always Dreaming today as well....they look great...but so far each and every one of these contenders look better now than before the Derby. Looking forward to seeing Hence and Lookin At Lee train here, especially considering the way Hence whipped Conquest Mo Money so easily over his home track. I think we have another great race on tap. TJ
PS: check the main thread, just found links to Gunnevera and Conquest Mo Money's gallops.

Wednesday 5/17:
Here's an update on all the Preakness probables. I'm going to post Gabby Gaudet's video. She is a sharp young lady who is a handicapping analyst....and comes from a powerful Maryland racing family. She knows what she's talking about when it comes to a racehorse. So I'm gonna take a little break today and let gabby give her well informed opinion of this mornings Preakness contender's in action.
